The AIUB Inter College Cricket Championship 2025 officially commenced on Sunday, June 29, at the Sports Field of the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB). The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by Ms. Nadia Anwar, Honorable Chairman and Founder Member of the Board of Trustees, AIUB.

She was joined by Prof. Dr. Manzur H Khan, Proctor, AIUB; Dr. Ziarat H Khan, Deputy Director, Student Services and Welfare; Major (Retd.) Faiz-Ul-Bari Rajon, Deputy Director, Administration; Mr. Abu Miah Akhanda Tuhin, Assistant Director, Public Relations and Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator, Office of Sports, AIUB. The ceremony also witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and administrative officials.

Organized by the AIUB Office of Sports in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), the championship brings together 32 colleges from across Dhaka city. This prestigious tournament serves as a dynamic platform for showcasing emerging cricket talent and promoting inter-institutional unity and sportsmanship.

All matches are being broadcast live on the official AIUB YouTube channel and the Office of Sports Facebook page, allowing the wider community to join in the excitement. The tournament will continue until July 3, 2025, offering an exhilarating week of cricket and competition.
