On April 30, 2025, the Multipurpose Hall of the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) came alive with energy and inspiration as Dhaka Flow successfully organized the ‘Second National Annual Youth Wellness Festival 2025’. The event was facilitated by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB, and proudly supported by the AIUB Social Welfare Club–Shomoy.
The day-long festival was officially inaugurated by Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Honorable Vice Chancellor, AIUB. His encouraging words highlighted the importance of empowering the youth through holistic development, social connections, and meaningful dialogue. The event started with an enthusiastic welcome note addressing the significance of healing, movement, and mindfulness, followed by a breathwork session by Ms. Shazia Omar, Life Coach & CEO, Dhaka Flow.
The event also featured with a dynamic panel discussion on the theme, Relentless: The Power of Consistency and The Courage to Push Limits’. The panel comprised of inspiring individuals from diverse fields, including Mr. Tanveer A. Chowdhury, Director of East Coast Group; Dr. Rayhan Shahidullah, Nutritionist; Ms. Munjarin Abony, Miss World Bangladesh and a Passionate Fitness Enthusiast; and Dr. Farahnaaz Feroz, Local President, JCI Dhaka Heritage. Their engaging discussion underscored the significance of perseverance, vision, and inner strength in achieving success and making meaningful contributions to society.
After that, Mixed Martial Arts and Self-Defense Coach Mr. Eduardo Alcanzare inspired the students with a brilliant fitness session on physical and mental strength, discipline, and self-defense tactics. A key highlight of the event was an insightful session on mental well-being, conducted by Ms. Nahida Yeasmin, a psychologist at ‘wEvolve’. Her session brought attention to the importance of mental health, offering valuable perspectives and tools for resilience in the lives of young individuals navigating academic and personal challenges. The festival eventually ended with an interactive fitness movement session jointly steered by Sports & Fitness Experts Mr. Rawan and Ms. Wahida.
The event was a celebration of youth potential, innovation, and community spirit. Special thanks to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and AIUB Administration for their seamless facilitation and continued commitment to student development. Gratitude is also extended to the dedicated club mentors of AIUB Social Welfare Club–Shomoy, Mr. Hamidul Islam Hamid, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA; and Mr. Md.
