AIUB HOSTS IAU-LEADHER PROGRAM LEARNING VISIT 2
The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) with support from the International Association of Universities (IAU) based in UNESCO Paris is hosting the Learning Visit 2 of a 5-team delegation composed of senior officials from the Adamson University, Manila, Philippines from 22 to 24 April 2008. The Learning Visit 2 is a reciprocal of the Learning Visit 1 of the 2 senior officials of AIUB and the Chairman of the UGC to Adamson University last 2 weeks ago. The Learning Visits are part of the activities of the partnerships between these universities which have been supported by the IAU under its Leadership Development for Higher Education Reform (LEADHER) Pilot Project. The Learning Visits provide an opportunity for the partner universities to acquire first hand experiences on the quality assurance activities and measures being undertaken by the respective universities. The team will serve as resource persons in the activities organized by AIUB such as: Briefing-Orientation on AIUB and Familiarization Visit to UGC and other landmarks in Dhaka; Roundtable Discussion cum Workshop on Institutional Program Accreditation Process to be held on April 23, 2008; Workshop on the Organization and Operation of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell on 24 April 2008. About 10 Vice Chancellors of leading universities in Bangladesh, MOE senior officials, UGC Chairman and senior officials, AIUB senior officials and other special guests have been invited to the roundtable discussion in order for them to share their ideas and experiences on the topics of the roundtable discussions and workshops. | ||||||||||||||||
