Faculty of Engineering of AIUB has successfully organized roadshow of “GPH Ispat Esho Robot Banai”. GPH Group presents “GPH Ispat - Esho Robot Banai” has successfully completed the second of their many roadshows, in American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB), at Kuril, Kuratoli from 3rd December 2018, Monday to 6th December 2018, Thursday with enthusiastic participation of the next generation of Robotics enthusiasts. GPH Ispat - Esho Robot Banai is a robotics-based Television Reality Show for the young Engineers’ of Bangladesh to promote robotics and automation. It evolved after GPH Ispat as the sponsor, Channel i as the media partner and CRID USA as the knowledge partner pledged to work together and raise awareness amongst the future generation of Bangladesh and help them reach their goal of attaining the understanding of robotics and its design. They believe that they are providing a platform where people interested in robotics will be able to know the ins and outs of robotics and all kinds of suggestions will be given on their behalf. Their objective is to introduce Bangladesh as a robotic hub to the world.
The event started on 3rd December 2018, Monday with an idea sharing competition. Students from AIUB gave 24 ideas during the 2 hours’ idea sharing round held at Multipurpose Hall of Annex-7, AIUB. Out of the 24 robotics and automation ideas suggested by the audience, top 5 ideas were selected by a jury board based upon a set of criteria that was mentioned beforehand. 15 students of AIUB Robotics Club from department of EEE, CoE and CSE took a challenge to turn these 5 ideas into reality within 72 hours. During this 72 hours, they made the project planning, procured the relevant equipment, designed and assembled the ideas into reality and finally checked them for reliability issues before they were showcased on the prize giving ceremony on 6th December 2018, Thursday. The realized ideas Footpath Cleaner Robot, Service Robot for Elderly Person, Smart Curtain Controller, Smart Controller for Water Pump, and Smart Garbage Bin. These implemented projects were showcased on the prize giving ceremony on 6th of December 2018, Thursday from 3:30PM, graced by Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna ( Vice Chancellor of AIUB), Mr. Galib Mohammad (Head of Marketing & Sales, GPH group), Md. Anamul Islam (Sr. DGM, Marketing & Sales, GPH group), members of GPH Ispat family, Mr. Taher Shipon (Chief Event Coordinator, Channel i and Producer of “GPH Ispat - Esho Robot Banai”), members of Channel i team, Mr. Mehdi Shams (Co-founder and President of CRID USA), Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Manzur H.
