Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna of the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) invited the Foreign Students of the undergraduate and graduate levels of studies for exchanging pleasantries in a get-together meeting held on April 21, 2009 at the University Administration Building. A good number of foreign students from UK, Korea, Argentina, China, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Indonesia, Turkey, Myanmar, Kenya, Philippine, Palestine, Nepal etc. are studying at AIUB. Among them, Mehmet Sinan Torunlar, Mohammad Nouman Asghar, Li Mei, Kwak Jihye, Nur Fajarwati Zuchrifah, Nur Wahida Zuchrifa, Li Shuo, Shi Ning Ning and Leandro Matias Maloberti were present in this Get-together event. The Vice Chancellor in her welcoming speech congratulated them for their excellent performances in their respective studies through the internationally reputed standard of quality education provided by the University. While wishing them a very successful academic career to be obtained from the University, she inquired of their personal well-being and living style and informed them of the vast opportunities to utilize their pastime through their participation in various extra curricular and cultural activities being held regularly in the University. She also told them that the program of visiting various sight-seeing places and archaeological sites spread all over Bangladesh is being arranged. She hoped that the program of such visit would be finalized soon and expected that each and every foreign student of the University should take this opportunity of visiting interesting and adventurous places of Bangladesh. Besides others, Director (Finance), Director (Public Relations), Coordinator (Students Affairs), Coordinator (Research and Publications), Senior Executive (Public Relations) and others were also present on this occasion. The foreign students expressed their cordial thanks to the Vice Chancellor and the University authorities for holding such a valuable get-together meeting.
