The department of Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) organized a guest lecturer session on “Logistics Management”, on August 23^rd, 2017 in a classroom of Permanent Campus. It was conducted during a class period of BBA OSCM major course, namely “Logistics Management”.  This session is one of many initiatives taken by OSCM Department for “Academic Enrichment of Major Course Curriculum. The topics covered during the session were relevent with the major course curriculum, topics and industry best practices, as presented by AIUB FBA Alumnus, an industry expert in global ocean freight logistics, and certification trainer.

Mr. AQM Zaidad, CSCM^TM, Deputy Manager  – Ocean Freight, Agility, and AIUB FBA Alumnus was the guest lecturer in this session.  He has more than 10 years of extensive industry experience in global logistics, in several countries. He is now responsible for shipping more than sixty percent of goods from Bangladesh for the gaint glabal brand, Zara, Inditex, the world's largest fashion retailers. He is also a certified trainer for supply chain management professionals. He actively participates in many of AIUB FBA programs and events.

AIUB BBA OSCM major students and faculty members, were present during this session. It was an interactive session between the students, faculty members and resource person, as they could directly relate to the topics covered in the major class and learn about local challenges and industry best practices.

At the end of the session, Professor Dr. Charles C. Villanueva; Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor & Dean (FBA); Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib, Associate Professor & Head (OSCM) handed over a Certificate of Appreciation to the guest lecturer, Mr. AQM Zaidad.
