AIUB-FBA-OSCM CASE COMPETITION

The department of Operations and Supply Chain Management, Faculty of Business Administration organized a “Case Competition”, on April 12th, 2017, between 5:00PM to 7:30PM, in FBA Building (Room # 141).    It is part of a series of initiatives listed for “Student Enhancement” program to be conducted during the Spring 2016-17 Semester, by OSCM Department, FBA, AIUB. The objective of the case competition was to enhance analytical, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills of OSCM major students and to provide a platform for enrolled major students and graduates to interact in a positive environment to share knowledge and build working relationships.

The Case Competition is an extension to the constant endeavors by OSCM Department, FBA, AIUB to develop the capacity of major student by augmenting to their knowledge base, application tools and techniques and research capabilities. The competition was held across two rounds; the 1st round involved 32 students divided in 9 groups preparing cases on contemporary supply chain related issues. The top 5 groups from the first round were selected to present their findings in front of the judges panel that comprised of SCM certified AIUB Alumni who are in a position to potentially recruit our future graduates. OSCM faculty members and fellow students were also in attendance. The event was organized by Dr Saad Hasan and Dr. Rashedul Hoque with active support and guidance of Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib, Associate Professor, Head of Department, OSCM. In addition, Mr. Mohammad Ali, Ms. Sadia Rahman, Ms. Nazmun Nahar were involved as supervisors to student groups.

Professor Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean, Faculty of Business Administration opened the competition.  The program was concluded by Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib, Associate Professor, Head of Department, OSCM, with a vote of thank.
