AIUB Evening with Corporate 2010

American International University – Bangladesh hosted a dinner at The Westin Dhaka on 1st July, 2010 in honour of the some of the major corporate houses of the country. On the occasion of the corporate meet, the Vice Chancellor of AIUB, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, mentioned that the inherent structure of the course and overall curriculum of AIUB’s programs ensure that its training complements skills with emerging technologies and human resource demands of existing industries, business conglomerate and government. The Vice Chancellor also mentioned that the university’s MBA and EMBA programs had been granted international accredition and that the other academic programs were in the process of getting the same. She also talked about some agreements AIUB had signed with companies in particular with Asian Paints (Bangladesh) Ltd. aimed at providing research facilities to the students. The Vice Chancellor also distributed Certificate of Apprciation to companies who had participated in the University’s Job Fair in 2009. As a Centre of Excellence, AIUB would welcome the setting up of a Corporate Chair in the University. For this, the University will shortly be contacting various companies. Apart from the Vice Chancellor, the dinner was also attended by the Vice President HR and Treasury Mr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Vice President Academics Prof. Dr. T.A. Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain,Dr. Charles C. Villenueva Dean Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr.Tajul Islam Dean Faculty of Social Science and other officials of the university.
