Information technology (IT) has long been a buzzword for the 21^st century. Anything and everything, whether personal or professional, is now contingent on the evolution of technology and how we process information. And keeping up with the constantly changing trends in the world of IT, the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), holds an annual event called the 12th BASIS Software Expo 2017. As a part of the event, the AIUB Computer Club (ACC) ran an activation campaign on the 30^th of January 2017, to circulate information on the annual software exposition, showcasing the latest IT and ITES products and services in Bangladesh.

The program organized an Information Session where the CEO of EYSoft IT Solutions, Mr.Imran Hossen, and the Senior Vice President and CEO of BASIS, Mr. Russel T. Ahmed, along with the Director of BASIS, Mr. Riyad S.A. Hossain, and the Assistant Project Manager of BASIS, Mr. Shohag Chandra Das, briefed the students on the exposition. The program will focus on creating more collaborative opportunities on an international level, in order to further the development of the country’s IT sector and realize the vision of a Digital Bangladesh. On behalf of AIUB, Dr. Khandaker Tabin Hasan, the Head of the Graduation Programs for the Department of Computer Science [CS] and Management Information System [MIS] in the Faculty of Science and Information Technology [FSIT], gave the vote of thanks and tokens of appreciation to the guests, encouraging students to visit the exposition and experience the progressive movement of information technology in Bangladesh.
