AIUB Boishakhi Ullash 1416

In celebration of Benagli New Year 1416, the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) arranged a daylong cultural program on 14th April 2009, at the Banani Club Field. A grand Boishakhi Rally in the early hour arranged by the AIUB Architecture Department started at 11.00 AM from Campus-2 to Campus -1, 4 & 5 and ended at Banani Club Field. The AIUB Boishakhi Ullah-1416 was inaugurated by Mrs. Nadia Anwar, Founder & Vice President (Student Affairs) of AIUB. The Vice President (Academics) Professor Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Deans of the Faculties, teachers, students and high officials were also present on the occasion. Daylong program was high lighted with band song, boul song, NagarDola and Folks fusion. Besides the various local / traditional stalls arranged by the students, the Boishakhi mela was open for all quarters of people. Particularly the occasion was charming through the presentation by Habib, Band Dalchut, Hasan and Abdul Kuddus Bayati and the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC). The Desh TV telecasted the Live program and the Managing Director of Desh TV Mr. Asaduz-zaman Noor, MP presented a Nobo Borsho welcome speech to the AIUB students. Founder & Vice President (Admin/ HRD/ Treasury) Mr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder & Vice President (Public Relations & International Affairs) Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, teachers, students, guardians, officers and local community enjoyed the event with joyfully. Every year Boishakhi Ullash is celebrated by the AIUB authority to honour the national culture.
