American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has celebrated the Bengali New Year 1414 with a day-long fair and cultural show on 14th April 2007. The fair was opened by Dr. Anwarul Abedin, Chairman, AIUB and Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder and Vice President, Student Affairs at 10.15 AM at the Banani Club ground. After the opening she visited the colorful stalls decorated by the AIUB students with various Bengali traditional foods, cloths, paintings and games. The cultural show started at 2.30 PM with the singing performances of Mr. Faheem Shahed’s popular Bengali numbers. After that latest sensation Mr. Haider Hossain presented his hit songs. LRB dazzled the crowd with their performance after Haider Hossain. At the end Mr. Ehsan kept the crowd continuously dancing till he finished his folk fusion at 7.30 PM.
