AIUB at the 16th AUAP General Conference and the 1st AUAP-IFCU Joint International Conference 2018

Today, we are changing the world with technology. If you don’t innovate fast enough and disrupt the industry, you’ll be left behind. Themed on “Envisioning the Universities of Tomorrow in the Age of Emerging Technologies, Disruption, and Change”, the Association of Universities of the Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), together with the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), organized their 16th General Conference and the 1st Joint International Conference 2018, held from the 18th – 21st November 2018 in Pattaya, Thailand.

Congregated with about 250 participants from established institutions, including academics, corporates, and development organizations, from all across the world. Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, the Vice Chancellor of AIUB and a member of the Executive Board of AUAP, was represented at the conference, meetings, and election process by Ms. Shama Islam, an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration and the Special Assistant for the Office of the Vice Chancellor and Student Affairs. AIUB inked 5 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with the University of San Carlos, San Pedro College, University of St. Joseph, Hindustan University, and Daegu Health College. The conference brought together ideas of innovation and integration transcending borders, progressing into the future, bridging the gap between the disruptive technologies and the change that we wish to see in the world.
