AIUB Art Club (AAC) organized their 2nd Art Exhibition on the 12th floor of Campus 7 to commemorate the International Mother Language Day/Ekushey February or the Shaheed Day. It was a week long Art Exhibition portraying different moods, emotions and symbols signifying the different aspects of Ekushey February and its importance in our lives. There were art works from different mediums but they all were done as a tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives for establishing Bangla as our mother tongue on this very day in 1952. This single act eventually led to our Liberation War and brought us victory on 16th of December 1971 and gave us the right to live in an Independent Nation that we call Bangladesh.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AIUB and was later visited by Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder & Vice President, Student Affairs. On the last day, the renowned TV and Media personality Ms. Shampa Reza and her spouse Mr. Harold Rashid who is also well recognized for his own talent and merit in the field of Art and Culture visited the exhibition.
Over the week, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Science, Dr. Faheem Shahed, Head of English and Dr. Md. Mizanul Haque Kazal, Head of Economics and many others visited the exhibition.
