AIUB AND SGS FORMALIZED PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SIGNING OF MOU
The SGS Bangladesh Limited, a worldwide company located in 150 countries entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the American International University-Bangladesh. This is the first undertaking of SGS with a university in this country. AIUB is honored to have mutual understanding with SGS which would generally benefit both organizations. The signing of this MOU took place in the executive office of SGS located in Bir Uttam C. R. Datta Road in Dhaka on Tuesday, 8 October 2013 with Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean Faculty of Business Administration and Mr. R.T. Moudud, Director of Office of Placement and Alumni representing AIUB while Mr. Ariel Miranda, Managing Director and Mr. Nurul Islam, Manager Human Resource represented SGS Bangladesh Limited. It took almost a year to formalize this partnership and both parties are very hopeful for an active and functional partnership. The partnership cover wide range of educational and technical services specifically on student internship, job placement of graduates, collaborative research, sharing of expertise and resources, educational financial benefits, academic promotion and others. Other services and activities not specifically covered within the ambit of the MOU will be mutually negotiated and agreed upon through consultation between the two parties.
Both parties conveyed sincerest thanks and appreciation to the realization of this partnership and expressed optimism to a more active and vibrant partnership.
