AIESEC in AIUB presents "The Exchange Seminar & Corporate Meet"

The 9th of February 2009 marked one of the most significant and prestigious events in the historic calendar of AIESEC in American International University - Bangladesh [AIUB] - "The Exchange Seminar & Corporate Meet". AIESEC in AIUB, one of the four Local Committees in AIESEC Bangladesh, organized the event as an aspiring inspiration towards their values and vision, in which the AIUB Management, Administration, and Authorities gave their full cooperation & support. The chief guest of the event was Md. Motahar Hossain M.P, the honorable State Minister of Primary & Mass Education to the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, The Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, the Vice President of Academics, Prof. Dr. Tofazzal Hossain also spoke on the occasion. Deans and heads of all the respective departments of AIUB, along with numerous faculty members were present on the occasion, enhancing its importance for everyone. The guest of honor, Mr. Jon F. Danilowicz, the Political and Economical Counselor of American Embassy, graced the occasion with his valuable presence. The honorable State Minister spoke of the importance of educational empowerment and stressed the need for personal and professional development in people to strive for success as the esteemed American Counselor emphasized on improving and utilizing the mutually beneficial relationship between USA and Bangladesh to develop the nation through the younger generations. The event played host to numerous executive guests from reputed organizations like AFTAB Group, Aamra Networks, Beximco Pharma, Bristol Pharma, BRAC Bank, EXIM Bank Ltd., Grey Advertising BD Ltd., Kuwait Airways, NCC Bank, Madonna Advertising Ltd., MASTHEAD PR, Peoples Scape, Premier Bank, Probaho Ltd., Shakti Foundation, Sky Sail travel Agency, Spark Advertisng Agency, Youth express, and many others, along with some universities like Asia Pacific, BRAC, IUB, and NSU. At the event, the respective guests were acquainted with AIESEC. the world's largest international, voluntary, student-run, not-for-profit organization working towards bringing about change through youth leadership by means of cultural integration and personal & professional development. The seminar focused on the prospects and potential AIESEC poses to the corporate and development sectors of Bangladesh through its core activities, its work abroad and leadership opportunities, its projects, and its exchange program of international internship. The initial objective of the event was to introduce and present AIESEC in AIUB itself to the externals, to promote its operations, and position it as a brand in the corporate and development realms of the country - and with the overwhelming response, comments, and feedback we acknowledged from our prominent guests signified the magnitude of our achievement and success for AIESEC and AIUB, both as a united entity striving for excellence in every venture they take up in the days to come.
