On Thursday, January 2, 2025, the AIUB Business Club (ABC), in collaboration with Step Footwear & Accessories Company Limited, and supported by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), successfully organized the final round of “ADSPIRE – The Aspiring Ad-makers’ Challenge” at the Multipurpose Hall Annex-7, AIUB. This year’s competition saw the participation of 117 teams across four exciting categories: “Stories of Life in Sneakers,” “Small Moments & Big Occasions,” “Stylish Step,” and “Walk the Talk.” Out of these, videos from 40 teams were featured on Step Footwear’s social media platforms. The final round showcased 16 teams—four from each category—competing for the championship.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Associate Professor and Director of the MBA & EMBA Program, Faculty of Business Administration at AIUB. Dr. Alam emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities and competitions in shaping students’ professional and creative skills.
The event’s Chief Guest, Mr. Monir Khan Shimul, a renowned Bangladeshi actor and AIUB alumnus, delivered an inspiring address on the evolution of the advertising and creative media industries. Mr. Aminul Islam Shamim, CEO of Step Footwear, and Mr. Shamim Kabir, Managing Director of Step Footwear, also shared valuable industry insights and highlighted the significance of creative competitions like ADSPIRE in fostering students’ potential.

The event was further graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members Professor Dr. Kamrul Hasan – Department Head, Department of Accounting, Dr. Md. Aftab Anwar – Associate Professor and Department Head, Department of Management, Dr. Md. Tamzidul Islam – Associate Professor and Department Head, Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management, Mr. Stanley Sumon Rodrick– Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing, and Dr. Mohammad Ali – Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Management.
After an engaging competition, Team Dominators emerged as champions, comprising Sabbir Ahmed Shuvo, Rakib Hasan, Md. Emon Khan, and Shahriar Kabir Sheko.

The prize distribution ceremony saw the champion team receiving Tk 30,000, while the first, second, and third runners-up teams were awarded Tk 20,000, Tk 10,000, and Tk 5,000 respectively.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and crests to the winners, followed by a vibrant cultural program presented by the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC). The day ended on a high note with a vote of thanks by Mr. Soumendra Sankar Das, Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and mentor of the AIUB Business Club.
This competition offered AIUB students a unique platform to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, serving as a stepping stone toward developing vital professional skills. The event, which began at 10:00 AM, concluded successfully at 6:00 PM.
