ACES ORGANIZED A WORKSHOP ON “BASICS OF MICRO-CONTROLLER”

On 20th October 2016, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a workshop titled “Basics of Micro-Controller”, at Room No 266, FE Building, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The motive of the workshop was to introduce the participants to the very basics and applications of Microcontrollers. The keynote speaker of the workshop was Mr. Kazi Muhammad Jameel (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). A total of 77 students from Department of EEE & COE participated in this workshop.

Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Director & Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) initiated the event by welcoming the participants and delivered a short speech on the technical aspects of Microcontroller and its practical significance in modern digitalized working space. Mr. Kazi Muhammad Jameel then guided the participants through the workshop. At the very beginning he gave a brief description about Microcontroller. He detailed about the different applications of Microcontroller in electronic products like modern automobiles, any remote control device, digital cameras, cell phones and many more. Based on a particular integrated circuit, the speaker detailed the students all the technical, electrical and electronic peripherals of Microcontroller and its simulation tool. He progressed the very basics and tools of microcontroller throughout the workshop session.

At the end of the workshop, Prof. Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) induced the participants to learn more about Microcontroller and keep on practicing by improvising related codes on it and implement those on practical devices that employs Microcontroller. The workshop was concluded as he presented Mr. Kazi Muhammad Jameel a token of appreciation on behalf of ACES and also thanked ACES for organizing the workshop. Mr. Sayed Muhammad Baker (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB & Motivator of ACES) and Ms. Shahreen Hassan (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering,  AIUB & Motivator of ACES) graced the workshop with their presence. The participants were presented certificates to mark their wholehearted participation. Then the interactive workshop came to an end with a vote of thanks to the speaker and also the participants of the workshop.
