On 16th June, 2016, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a workshop titled “MATLAB & SIMULINK” at Room-EL52, FE Building, AIUB. The workshop was held to introduce the participants to MATLAB & Simulink. The keynote speaker of the workshop was Mr. Shameem Ahmad (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). A total of 40 students were present in this event.
Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) initiated the event by welcoming the participants and delivered a short speech on the importance of MATLAB and the significance it has been to the Engineering students as a simulation tool.
Mr. Shameem Ahmad then guided the participants through the workshop. At the very beginning he gave a brief description about Matlab & Simulink. On the basis of a circuit, he detailed the students the very basics of MATLAB, widely discussed about the enriched library of MATLAB. Then he showed the implementations on MATLAB Simulink, step by step showing each and every process to the participants.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Director & Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) induced the participants to learn more about MATLAB & Simulink and keep on practicing by improvising codes on it. He also thanked ACES for organizing the workshop. Mr. Sayed Muhammad Baker (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB & Motivator of ACES), Ms. Shahreen Hassan Arzin (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB & Motivator of ACES) graced the workshop with their presence. The speaker was given crest and the participants were presented certificates to mark their wholehearted participation.
