ACES ORGANIZED A SEMINAR ON “STUDY AND SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY IN GERMANY”

AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a seminar on “Study and Scholarship Opportunity in Germany” on April 9, 2019 in the Multipurpose Hall (Annex 7) of AIUB. The program began at 4:00 pm with the participation of about 200 students from various departments of AIUB. The purpose of the seminar was to provide ample information to the students about the higher educational fields with full funded scholarship opportunities and career prospects in Germany.

Prof. Dr A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) inaugurated the seminar by greeting the speakers and the students with an astute speech. He informed the students about the medium of education; which is mostly English in Germany in order to keep pace with the international educational fields. He also added that students should collect authentic information before they set their mind to move to a particular university abroad for pursuing higher education. Then, he motivated the students to stay updated with the advancement of technology through the internet and take necessary preparations for the 4th industrial evolution. After that, he welcomed the guest speaker Mr. Salman Haider (Senior Advisor, Diakonia German Education Center) to share his perception about the educational and scholarship programs in Germany. In addition, he also said that quality laboratory facilities, good research opportunities, full funded scholarship programs are available in almost all the universities of Germany and are also offering about 1000 master programs in English to attract international students in the Germany, making it worthily for its ranking. Thus, a large number of students choose Germany for their higher education. Lastly, he briefly discussed about the applications procedures, documentation, full funded scholarship programs and the increasing amount of job opportunities for the engineering students in Germany. Towards the end of seminar, an interesting question-answer session was held. Finally, he ended his speech by thanking AIUB Community of Engineering students (ACES) for arranging an amazing seminar.
