AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a campaign titled "NATIONAL ENERGY HACKATHON 2017” on 14^th March, 2017 at Room No. 266, FE Building, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The campaign was conducted by Mr. Omor Ahmed (Co-Manager, Google Developer Group) and Mr. Arif Abdulla Samy (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). The main emphasis of the campaign was to raise awareness among the students about the Energy Hackathon and to bring together a community of students, young professionals who are determined to harness the consumer and technology revolution in energy.   

The speaker Mr. Omor Ahmed started the event. He gave a brief idea about the Energy Hackathon. He started the session by discussing the main focuses of "National Energy Hackathon 2017 and its extension in a broader perspective. After that, he shared his own experience of Energy Hackathon. The Energy Hackathon 2017 will take place from 25^th March to 26^th March in Dhaka. Thus, he gave more ideas and discussed the necessity of the Power and Energy. Then Mr. Arif Abdulla Samy inspired the students of EEE, CoE and CSE for joining the dynamic days to discover opportunities in the world of smarter energy. In conclusive remarks he gave some guidelines how to start preparing for it.          

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan (Head, Undergraduate Program, Dept. of EEE & COE, AIUB) gave the closing speech and spoke about the importance of participating in Energy Hackathon. He encouraged the young community of future engineers to think out of the box and join in the vast world of Energy and Power. Mr. Syed Muhammad Baker (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB & Motivator of ACES) graced the campaign with his presence. Finally, the campaign ended with the big round of applause from the students to the speakers.
