On 7^th of April 2016, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) celebrated their second foundation day at AIUB Auditorium. There was a huge turnout of people who had been eagerly waiting to celebrate ACES Foundation Day 2016. This much awaited and exciting event commenced at 2 p.m. with inaugural speech from the Advisors of ACES, Professor Dr. A.B.M Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), where he congratulated the entire ACES team for all their achievements and expressed gratitude for the inevitable efforts, hard works and dedications which have made enormous contribution in the betterment of the students of Faculty of Engineering. And then welcome speech given by Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Professor & Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) where he congratulated ACES for all the achievements throughout the year and wished tremendous growth and eminent goodwill as a student organization in the near future. ACES is ever grateful to Mr. Manzur H. Khan (Director, OSA, AIUB) for his continuous support and guidance.

The event began with a promo video showcasing all the activities and achievements of ACES throughout the previous year, a wishing video, and the opening ceremony in presence of faculty members, guests, students and ACES team. Crests were handed to the honorable Dean, Director, Head of the department, Faculty members and top post holders of 2015. After that, ACES inaugurated its first magazine. Followed by this Mentor of ACES, Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Assistant Professor and Special Assistant, OSA, AIUB) stressed in his speech how ACES has travelled successfully such a long distance in a short time and how ACES has helped Faculty of Engineering students. Advisor of ACES, Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain (Assistant Professor and Special Assistant, OSA, AIUB), wished ACES all the luck for its second Foundation Day and hope this core club hold up its consistency and enrich itself as well as its members with substantial comprehension. ACES research group instructor Mr. Kazi Ahmed Asif Fuad (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB) said a few words about his research journey with the group and then the research group coordinators, executives and other team members from ACES presented different projects which they have done over the last one year. In the cultural program part, audience witnessed phenomenal unplugged music, comic drama and dance performances from the members and working committee members of ACES.

(Entrepreneuer, Founder and Chief Executive Offficer, EcoEmp), Mr. Mohammad Rezaul Hoque (Senior Engineer, TxN Projects at Airtel Bangladesh Limited) and Mr. Shamim Ahasan (General Manager, Robi Axiata Ltd) attended the event and shared their experience and promised to work together for the betterment of AIUB. Another 35 alumni from different batches of AIUB who are also ACES members attended the event.

After that, new executive and volunteer committee of ACES for the year 2016 was declared. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Associate Prof. & Head (Undergraduate Prog.), Dept. of EEE, AIUB), Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Asst. Prof. & Special Asst., Department of EEE, AIUB), Mr. Sayed Muhammad Baker (Lecturer, Dept. of EEE, AIUB & Motivator ACES), Ms. Shareen Hassan (Lecturer, Dept. of EEE, AIUB & Motivator ACES), Ms. Sumaiya Umme Hani (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB), and Mr. Shahriar Hasan Shehab (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB). The long eventful day was concluded by announcing the names of the raffle draw winners. ACES foundation day 2016 was a day where engineers got together to showcase their talent, creativity as well as learn and have fun together.
