On 12th April, 2012 the Department of Operations Management undertook a study tour to Lyric Fashion Wear Ltd, at Chandona, Gazipur. The visit to Lyric Fashion Wear arranged for the students of Engineering Management has been completed successfully. Lyric Fashion Wear Ltd is a sister concern of Lyric Group established in 1993 is one of the leading garments manufacturers & exporters in Bangladesh territory for Woven & Knit garments. This company is exporting top quality products around the world. On a regular basis, it is exporting basic & fashionable woven & knit items for men, women and children.  On part of Lyric authority, Md. Solayman Kabir- Merchandiser (Factory), Md. Zia Haider Khan - Sr. Compliance Manager & Mr. Mahfuz Anwar- Merchandiser of Winners Creations ( A buying House involved with lyric) produced a schedule that included a comprehensive lecture and demonstration on whole production process containing raw material storage process , cutting, sewing, finishing, quality control, workers benefits, etc.  The students got a clear idea about how a raw material turns into a smart shape of desired product. The study tour contributed much to the students, reflected in their participations during the lecture-discussion session and their queries during the demonstration. It was a good learning experience for the students to see the actual management operations.
