Seminar titled ‘Utilize the Power of Youth to Materialize Digital Bangladesh Dream’

A seminar titled ‘Utilize the Power of Youth to Materialize Digital Bangladesh Dream’ was held at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 4.00 PM at the AIUB Auditorium. NeoStar Alliance, a forum of creative minds has organized the seminar. As a part of the seminar JAN Associates also showcased Canon products in the Campus. Honorable Chairman of AIUB Dr. Anwarul Abedin opened the showcase of Canon in the morning. Honorable Member of Parliament & Managing Director of Desh TV, Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor was present in the seminar as the Chief Guest and delivered his speech on the topic - ‘Define the Role of Government to Create Next Generation Leaders’. The keynote speaker of the seminar was Mr. Mustafa Jabbar, President of the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS). His topic of the presentation was ‘Our Preparedness and Future Vision for Digital Bangladesh’. Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science of AIUB welcomed the chief guest and all the speakers to the seminar and delivered his inaugural speech on the ‘Role of Academia to Turn Digital Bangladesh Dream into Reality’. The Chief Executive Officer of Bdjobs.com Limited Mr. AKM Fahim Mashroor, the Chief News Editor of Radio Amar Mr. Abir Hassan and the President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) Mr. Habibullah N Karim were also present as speakers of this highly informative and multi dimensional seminar. The topic of their speeches and presentation were ‘Role of Academia to Turn Digital Bangladesh Dream into Reality’, ‘Define the Role of Media to Create Awareness among the Youngsters about Digital Bangladesh’ and ‘Define the ICT Trend and Industry Landscape of Bangladesh to Leverage the Digitalization Process’. Students, Faculty Members and Officials of AIUB were present in this seminar and they highly appreciated the valuable speeches and the presentations made by the renowned guest speakers. At the end of the seminar Mr. Manzur H Khan, Coordinator, Office of Student Affairs gave the vote of thanks to the guest speakers, NeoSTAR Alliance and AIUB Management for organizing such an interesting and diverse seminar.
