Abstract
The paper reports on strengthening security in residential and institutional environments through intelligent access control by ensuring secured entry through the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-based smart door lock scheme. Leveraging RFID technology and embedded microcontrollerbased integration, the proposed system provides reliable and contactless authentication to prevent unauthorized access by enhancing user convenience. Through real-time tag recognition, automated locking mechanisms, and feedback via LCD and LED indicators, the system not only modernizes traditional entry methods but also improves operational efficiency and safety. By replacing mechanical keys with registered RFID credentials, it minimizes risks of duplication, forgetting passwords, loss, or tampering. Furthermore, the system offers a scalable basis for future enhancements, including biometric verification and IoT connectivity. This research demonstrates the transformative possibility of RFID-based access solutions in creating smarter, more secure infrastructures for people, especially for women.
