Abstract

The number of electric vehicles (EVs) has increased recently, necessitating the demand for additional EV charging stations. In Bangladesh, the number of electric vehicles, such as autorickshaws and electric motorcycles are growing daily. Electric motorcycles and autorickshaws in Bangladesh are powered by energy drawn from the national grid. This project focuses on the construction of a PV based EV charging station with net metering and a hazard protection system for external battery in order to reduce the strain on the national grid and make use of renewable energy. The goal of this project is to design and build an electric vehicle charging system that provides a reliable way to charge electric motorcycle, autorickshaw’s battery and other electric vehicles by using solar energy as renewable source.
