The 54th Syndicate Meeting of AIUB was held in the Microsoft Teams online platform on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 4 PM. The Vice Chancellor of AIUB, Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna presided over the meeting in presence of other members of the Syndicate, Dr. Hasanul A Hasan, Prof. Dr. Md. Rafique Ullah, Prof. Dr. Md. Selim, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman and Mr. Manzur H. Khan. 

Syndicate members discussed on the status of the ongoing Summer 2020-21 semester and exchanged their views on tentative planning for the upcoming Fall 2021-22 semester. The ongoing crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic was a center point of concern for the members while planning future activities. A brief presentation was made to inform the syndicate about the academic and research activities in the form of international conferences, webinars/ seminars, workshop, publications, trainings and other activities as conducted by different faculties in the Summer 2020-21 semester. A summary of IQAC’s (Institutional Quality Assurance Cell) development activities, students’ extra-curricular involvement, OSA’s (Office of Student Affairs) outreach and AIUB’s CSR activities were also presented in the meeting. The collaborative effort of AIUB students, teachers, staffs, officials, and management for running university operations efficiently and successfully amidst such an uncertain time was highly appreciated by all syndicate members. At the end, all proposed activities and plans were approved by the syndicate through an interactive discussion among the members.
