4th Year Celebration of AIUB Society for HRM

AIUB Society for HRM celebrated its 4th  glorious year on 2nd November, 2013. The celebration started at auditorium along with the presence of Prof. Dr. Charles Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Mr. AK Nazmul, Director of BBA Program, Ms. Farheen Hassan, Department Head of Management , Advisor of AIUB Society for HRM, Ms. Anisa Sultana, Mr. Erfan Haque and all the society members. During the opening ceremony of the program, Prof. Dr. Charles Villanueva, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration delivered his valuable speech where he thanked the advisors for guiding the society properly through their knowledge, experience and coordination. He also appreciated all the society members for organizing the program  and encouraged them to keep working hard. After his speech,  there was a talk show which was conducted by the Advisor of AIUB Society for HRM, Mr. Erfan Haque and the guest resource speaker was Md. Mahbubul Wahid, Manager of Human Resource Department of LankaBangla Finance Ltd. The topic was “The Impact of Information Technology on HR Management: Opportunities and Challenges’’. There was a question and answer session at the end of talk the show. The talk show reinforced the importance of HRM in today’s modern organizations. It was very informative and inspiring  for the students. Right after the talkshow, cake cutting took place in the auditorium to symbolize the 4th anniversary celebration. After cake cutting another  seminar took place. The topic of the seminar was “Preparing for a career in HR Management” and the guest speaker was Md. Bahauddin Miah, Director of Human Resource Department of Expolanka Group and General Secretary of BSHRM, Bangladesh. Mr. Roome Tareque Moudud, Director OPA, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting expressed the vote of thanks. The celebration program included a farewell session of the former members of the society who made outstanding contributions for the well being of the society. The day-long program concluded with a colorful cultural program. 

A work shop on Microsoft Excel for the members of the AIUB Society for HRM was conducted by Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib, Assistant Professor, Department of Operations Management on the following day.

 

With the aforementioned enriching and enjoyable activities, the  4th year celebration was another event to remember  among the faculty, officers and members of the AIUB HR members. The society is looking forward to another fruitful celebration in the ensuing academic year 2014.
