The year 2026 began on a positive note for the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) with the successful completion of the External Quality Assessment (EQA) visit conducted by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Program under the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA). The three-day site visit, held from 06 to 08 January 2026, marked an important milestone in AIUB’s continuous journey toward academic excellence, quality assurance, and national accreditation.

AIUB had the honor of hosting the distinguished EQA team led by Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Mamun, Head of the EQA Team, along with Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Member (Quality Assurance), and Professor Dr. Md. Monirul Islam, Member (Subject). Throughout the visit, the EQA team conducted a comprehensive and systematic review of academic, administrative, and support systems related to the BBA program, aligned with BAC’s accreditation framework.

A key activity of the visit was the presentation of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) by the Bachelor of Business Administration Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC). The PSAC was headed by Prof. Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director of the BBA Program, with the active support of other PSAC Committee Members and the PSAC worked closely with the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Farheen Hassan, SFHEA, Director, IQAC, whose leadership and extensive contribution were instrumental in ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and successful execution of all EQA-related activities.

During the site visit, the EQA team engaged in meaningful discussions with faculty members, students, alumni, employers, and representatives from various administrative and support offices. Classroom teaching observations, document reviews, and campus infrastructure visits further enriched the assessment process, fostering constructive dialogue and collaborative engagement throughout the three days.

The visit concluded with a formal exit and closing meeting held in presence of Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, and Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor of AIUB, along with senior faculty members, PSAC, and IQAC Team. The session provided valuable feedback and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continuous improvement and quality enhancement.

AIUB extends its sincere gratitude to the honorable EQA team of BAC for their valuable guidance and constructive feedback. Heartfelt thanks are also due to AIUB management, faculty members, officials, students, and stakeholders whose dedication, teamwork, and collective effort contributed to the successful completion of the visit. Moving forward with confidence, AIUB remains committed to achieving national accreditation and sustaining excellence in business education.
