The AIUB Premier League (APL) T10-2025 officially commenced on Sunday, May 4, 2025, with a vibrant opening ceremony held at the campus of American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB). The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, AIUB, alongside Prof. Dr. Manzur H Khan, Proctor, and Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator, Office of Sports, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and administrative officials.

In his opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor praised the Office of Sports for its professional and enthusiastic organization of the tournament. He also extended his sincere appreciation to the Office of Student Affairs for its support, as well as to all volunteers of office of sports and participating teams for their dedication, coordination, and collective efforts in making the APL a remarkable success. He emphasized the tournament’s significance in nurturing teamwork, discipline, and a spirit of healthy competition among students.

This year’s tournament features 24 departmental teams, reflecting the growing popularity of the T10 Cricket Championship as a vibrant platform for sportsmanship, interdepartmental collaboration, and student engagement. Enhancing the tournament’s appeal, several renowned national cricketers including Abu Haider Rony, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shariful Islam, Joyraz Sheik Emon, Munim Shahriar, Akbar Ali, and Parvez Hossain Emon are participating, bringing heightened competitiveness and prestige to the championship.

All matches, including the opening day festivities, are being broadcast live via the official Facebook page of AIUB’s Office of Sports, enabling real-time engagement from a broader audience. The APL T10-2025 promises an exciting and memorable season of cricket while fostering community spirit and promoting a culture of athletic excellence at AIUB. The grand final is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 13, 2025.
