The Department of Economics of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at AIUB has organized a study tour for the students on February 15, 2024, to the Department of Economics, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Bangladesh. The tour was to explore the diversity of the renowned public university in Bangladesh and visit the Department of Economics of Jahangirnagar to have an overview of the Economics department and exchange views with students to share thoughts and views on their learning and experiences.
Professor Dr. Bashir Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jahangirnagar University, and Professor Dr. Khandaker M. Ashraful Munim, Chairman, Department of Economics, Jahangirnagar University warmly welcomed the faculties and students of AIUB Economics Department. There was a classroom session with both universities’ students from the economic departments where they enthusiastically talked about each university’s academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities. Moreover, student-faculty collaboration on academic research was also discussed. Students also engaged in different team-building activities (games) to improve teamwork and enhance communication skills.
