The Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration, organized a seminar on July 28, 2022 [Thursday] for the major students of Accounting Information System (AIS) course from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. The objective of this seminar was to understand the role of AIS in business and the use of accounting software. The key speaker of the session was Mr. Dipesh Banik CPLM, Senior Project Manager, Apsis Solutions Limited. Mr. Dipesh is an experienced IT project manager with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry at home and abroad. He is skilled in IT Sales, ERP Implementation, Management, Business Development, Organizational Development, Project Management, and Social Media. In addition, he is a Certified Professionals in Logistics Management (CPLM) from ISCEA, USA. During the seminar, Mr. Dipesh shared a live demo of accounting software and discussed different modules like chart of accounts, payment, invoice preparation and financial statements.

This seminar was arranged by Mr. Niaz Mohammad ACMA, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Associate Professor and Department Head, Accounting delivered the vote of thanks with closing remarks. The session was very interactive and ended with providing a certificate of appreciation and gift to the distinguished speaker.
