MRU Faculties visited AIUB under Erasmus+ staff mobility

Learning through exchange programs is always exciting since participants may share thoughts, experiences, culture, and philosophy. Aside from that, this venture may provide interesting future undertakings to the participants. The Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program enabled the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and the Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) to sustain such attractive prospects.

Professor Dr. Vaidas Jurkevičius and Prof. Dr. Arnas Liauksminas of MRU's Department of Law visited AIUB to deliver classes as part of their Erasmus+ teaching assignment. Prof. Vidas and On July 17, 2022, after being introduced to the faculty members of the Law department, Prof. Arnas had an open discussion with LLB students. Through conversation and video presentations, both universities discussed their histories, cultures, and accomplishments. The Department of Law hosted this session at the multipurpose hall of annex 7, AIUB.

During 17-21 July 2022, Prof. Vidas and Prof. Arnas were present in numerous classes as per their specialization. Prof. Vidas delivered outstanding lectures on 'General Issues of Private Law from a Comparative Perspective.' In summary, his presentation provided an in-depth examination of private law from both the Lithuanian and European perspectives. Mr Arnas also gave the students lectures on 'Business and Human Rights.' He underlined the importance of human rights focus in business and CSR. Nonetheless, on that occasion, he addressed the international legal framework. Other than taking classes, Mr. Arnas participated in meetings with FBA faculty members who are teaching ethics and CSR.

Visiting scholars from MRU paid a courtesy visit to the office of Vice Chancellor and office of the Chairman, Board of Trustees. During the visit there were discussions on future collaboration and student exchange programs. The professors of MRU also visited different administrative offices and observed different activities and resources of AIUB.
