On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) convened a Mid-phrase Research Review Session at the FBA Meeting Room. The purpose of this session was to critically examine the progress of AIUB-funded research projects currently in their mid-phase and to determine their alignment with proposed objectives, timelines, and methodological standards.
As part of the agenda, two ongoing research initiatives were formally presented before the Faculty Research Committee (FRC). The first project, titled “Environmental Sustainability Assessment of a Higher Education Institute (HEI) Using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)”, concentrates on assessing the environmental impact of an academic institution by applying a comprehensive life cycle assessment framework. The study evaluates resource consumption patterns, emissions, and sustainability indicators to generate an evidence-based environmental performance profile.
In addition to this, another research project titled “The Role of Digital Finance on Financial Inclusion and Inclusive Growth in Bangladesh” was reviewed. This study investigates the extent to which digital financial services enhance access to formal financial systems and stimulate inclusive economic growth. Emphasis is placed on empirical analysis of digital platforms, financial accessibility, and their macroeconomic significance within Bangladesh’s evolving financial landscape.
Throughout the session, members of the FRC of FBA actively participated in constructive discussions with the respective research teams. The Committee provided analytical feedback on research design, data interpretation, and projected academic contributions, aiming to strengthen both theoretical grounding and practical relevance.
Upon completion of the presentations and evaluation process, the Committee acknowledged satisfactory advancement of both studies at their current stage. The Dean of FBA, Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, was also present at the session and offered his valuable remarks, emphasizing the importance of methodological rigor, timely completion, and the broader academic and policy implications of the research initiatives. In addition, other department heads and faculty members contributed to the discussion by providing constructive insights and recommendations to further enhance the quality and impact of the projects.
Oversight and facilitation of the session were undertaken by Professor Dr. Md. Faruque Hossain, Member of the Research and Publication Steering Committee (RPSC) and the Faculty Research Committee (FRC), Faculty of Business Administration, who ensured the structured execution of the review proceedings.
