The International Mother Language Day was commemorated by the AIUB Oratory Club (AOC) on Tuesday, 27 February 2024 at the Amphitheater of AIUB through a unique event titled "In Remembrance of Ekushey".

The event commenced with poetry recitation. Later, members of AOC expressed their assertion to speak in their regional languages. An imaginary conversation between the language martyr Rafiq and Muhammad Ali Jinnah was presented by the AOC debaters that portrayed the passion and resilience of the language movement held in 1952.

An audience discussion segment was held at the end allowing the audience to express their thoughts and feelings regarding the current state of Bangla through spontaneous participation. The event concluded with a melodious presentation by AIUB Performing Arts Club - APAC.
