Environment and Humanitarian Crisis
This research domain, under the Department of Social Science of American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB), aims to understand the multifaceted social problems of the contemporary world, with a specific focus on Bangladesh. In essence, this domain is organized into four main areas: SDGs and climate change, social aspects of cybersecurity, social security and the old-age crisis, and Indigenous people and minority rights. For instance, the unit seeks to uncover the challenges hindering the achievement of SDGs, while also examining the adverse impacts of climate change on various communities in Bangladesh. Additionally, the unit prioritizes addressing the emerging issues of cybersecurity in society. Simultaneously, it explores the challenging situations faced by different communities, including indigenous and minority groups concerned with human rights issues, as well as the social security of elderly people.INTEREST(S)
