The Department of Computer Science successfully organized its Thesis Day on Thursday, May 08, 2025, showcasing the culmination of undergraduate research projects conducted by the graduating students.
A total of 73 student groups participated in the event, presenting their research work through two main segments:
- Thesis Defense (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
- Poster Presentation (2:30 PM – 5:00 PM)
Thesis Defense
The thesis defense sessions were conducted in parallel tracks, each focusing on a specific domain within computer science:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Computer Vision and Bio-inspired Robotics
- Data Science
- Software Engineering
- Computer Network and Architecture
Each session was evaluated by a panel comprising internal faculty members and distinguished external judges. The participating students received insightful feedback and suggestions that will serve to strengthen their research and guide future academic or professional endeavors.

Poster Presentation
In the afternoon session, the students participated in a poster presentation event, where they visually communicated their research outcomes and engaged in discussions with faculty, peers, and guests.
The event was graced by Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, who visited the poster exhibits and offered valuable feedback and encouragement to the students.
Conclusion
The Thesis Day was a successful and intellectually enriching event, highlighting the department’s commitment to fostering research and innovation. The constructive critiques provided by the external judges and faculty members greatly benefited the students, both in refining their current work and shaping their future pursuits.
