Books donated to AIUB Library by the Philippine Embassy

A team from the Philippines Embassy, Bangladesh visited the campus of the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) to donate books on Philippine history and culture to the AIUB Library on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Christian Hope V. Reyes, Chargé d’affaires, a.i., Maria Tanya B. Gaurano, Third Secretary and Vice Consul, Gerard Pol San Jose, Cultural Officer and Attaché, Wemperr John Pasok, Protocol Officer and Attaché and Methelda Gomes, Translator and Research Assistant from the Philippines Embassy reached the AIUB campus around 10 AM and were received by Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna, Vice Chancellor of AIUB. Dr. Carmen brought them to the ongoing Intra-AIUB Arts Exhibition organized by the AIUB Arts Club at the lobby of Building D. The delegates highly appreciated the artworks of the young talents.

The team was given a tour of the AIUB Campus by Mr. Danilo Morgia, Director, IT Operations and Ms. Rani Ellen V. Ramos, Lecturer, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences accompanied by Major (Retd.) Faiz-Ul-Bari Rajon, Deputy Director, Administration and Mr. Lutiful Haq Chapal, Assistant Director, Administration.

Later, Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna received the books at the AIUB Library and thanked the delegates for their generous donation. Other officials o AIUB were also present during the book donation ceremony. There was also a discussion of possible collaborative activities at the AIUB campus in future.
