American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is delighted to announce its participation as a Supporting Partner in the “JusTN0W – Just Transitions to a Net Zero World” initiative led by Durham University, UK. This collaboration marks a significant step towards addressing the pressing need for sustainable transitions to a net-zero future. Durham University has pledged a substantial investment of over £5 million in Strategic Research Funding (SRF) over four years to support this endeavor.

This initiative outlines a comprehensive work program, leveraging interdisciplinary research to devise sustainable and equitable solutions that expedite the decarbonization of economies. This initiative holds promise in contributing significantly to research aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), further enhancing its relevance and impact.

Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, will serve as the designated contact person representing American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) for this collaborative venture.
