The final and prize-giving ceremony of the “AIUB Inter College Basketball Championship 2024,” organized by the Office of Sports, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), took place on Friday, February 16, 2024, in the sports complex of AIUB. The tournament commenced on Thursday, February 8, 2024, with the participation of 12 colleges from Dhaka City.

The Notre Dame College clinched the Championship Trophy of the “AIUB Inter College Basketball Championship 2024,” while DPS STS School Dhaka and St. Gregory’s High School and College secured the 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up trophies respectively. Sunnydale School received the Fair Play Award for their disciplined participation. The titles of Man of the Final, Top Scorer, and Most Valuable Player were also awarded during the ceremony.

Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor of AIUB; Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor of AIUB; and Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of Graduate Program, FBA, AIUB, distributed the medals and trophies among the winners. The Honorable Pro VC expressed gratitude to the participants for their wholehearted involvement and praised their dedication to sports despite their busy academic schedules. He extended appreciation to AIUB’s Office of Sports for organizing such a compelling event and Office of Student Affairs, student volunteers and Media department for their constant support in organizing the event.
