AIUB has signed an MOU with Gujrat National Law University (GNLU), India

As per AIUB's academic collaboration strategy, on August 1, 2022, the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), a statutory university founded by the Gujarat government that solely provides law programs at the tertiary level. GNLU and AIUB have reached an agreement to promote academic and professional collaboration for future endeavor.

On behalf of GNLU, Professor Sanjeevi Shantakumar, the honorable Vice Chancellor, and Professor Dr. Taslima Monsoor, respected Advisor of the Department of Law, who represented AIUB, signed the MoU. The Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Dr. Tazul Islam, was in presence to commemorate this momentous event. The signing took place at AIUB's Moot Court room. Later, in the multipurpose hall of Building D, Professor Sanjeevi Shantakumar met with the excited students and teachers of the department of law.

Professor Taslima welcomed the distinguished VC of GNLU, Professor Shantakumar, and expressed AIUB's heartfelt thanks. Professor Shantakumar discussed the possibilities and advantages of the MoU to the students in his lecture. Later, Dr. Syeda Zerin, Associate Professor of Law, delivered closing comments and thanked the guests, AIUB administration & officials, teachers, and students.

Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (Accreditation with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC), is a Research-Based Teaching University, established under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003, recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC), provides the most diversified and unique teaching, research, training and extension programs. It enjoys membership of National and International network of universities, namely, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), International Association of Law Schools (IALS), Asian Law Institute (ASLI) and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI).

The Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) ranked GNLU the finest law school in Gujarat. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, classified GNLU as the sixth (6th) top law school in the country in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2021. In the India Today Ranking 2021, GNLU is placed fourth (4th) among the top Government Law Institutes and fourth (4th) best law college in the country. According to the Competition Success Review - GHRDC Law School Survey 2020, GNLU is the finest law school in the country.
