Dear Students, AIUB CS FEST 2017 will be held from 5th December, 2017 to 7th December, 2017. There are lot of events where you can participate and show your talent. The events are open for all current AIUB students from all departments. The event lists, details, rules and regulations, time and venue are listed below as well as the points of contact.

Rules & Regulations:

General Instructions:

  1. Two teams will face each other in every match.
  2. Each match duration will be 5 minutes.
  3. Each team can bring one goal protector, and the placement of goal-protector cannot be changed before 2.5 minutes.
  4. Bot can be touched once while playing but from the second touch every touch will count as a restart.
  5. Foul allowed. But goal protector cannot be touched. Every touch will deduct points.
  6. Bot have to touch the fixed position on playground by their own. Only the first team who touch the position will get the point.
  7. If no team can secure a goal then the winner will be the team whose possession is more.
  8. Any kind of harmful tools both opponent and arena is prohibited.
  9. Any kind of part of a robot that catch / grab object, is strictly prohibited.
  10. Brackets can be used. Dimension: Maximum length = 20 cm, Maximum Width = 5 cm.

                                                            

Team Member:

  1. Each team will consist of maximum 4 members. Team leader of each team will be responsible for all activities of that team.
  2. Maximum 2 members can enter in the arena while match.
  3. Team members must be undergraduate students and AIUB student.

Bot Specifications:

  1. Each team can bring more than one bot. But only one bot can play at one match.
  2. Bot will be semi-autonomous or manual.
  3. Bot can be controlled by any wireless device. No wired communication is allowed.
  4. Bot can be powered by maximum in 12 volts.
  5. Dimension: Maximum length = 20 cm, maximum width = 20 cm.
  6. Maximum weight = 3 kg.

Ball Specification:

  1. Ball will be round shaped (Tennis Ball).
  2. Diameter of the ball 2.6 inch.
  3. Weight: 58 grams.

Goal Protector Specifications:

  1. Own goal post can be protected by a solid goal protector.
  2. You have to bring your own goal protector. Otherwise your post will be open.
  3. Goal protector Dimension: maximum length = 6 cm, maximum width = 6 cm, maximum height = 10 cm.
  4. Goal protector can be made be any solid material you want. Any shape you want. Humanoid/Box/Spherical any kind custom shape, you are allowed to create.
  5. Goal protector should be fixed on it’s own place. No mechanized goal protector is allowed.
