The 3rd International Conference on Computing Advancements (ICCA), themed "Age of Computing and Augmented Life," was successfully held at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on October 17-18, 2024. Organized by the Department of Computer Science in cooperation with ACM SIGAPP, the conference attracted researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from across the globe to share knowledge and present their latest innovations.
ICCA 2024 received an overwhelming number of more than 400 paper submissions, with 145 accepted in diverse fields such as Intelligent Systems, Machine Vision, Cryptography, and Human-Computer Interaction. The conference aims to bridge the gap between academic research and industry practice, establishing itself as a leading international forum for computing advancements. Accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library, underscoring the significance of the research showcased at the event.
The two-day conference begun with an opening ceremony on October 17, 2024 at the AIUB Auditorium where the Chief Patron of ICCA 2024 Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna (Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB), Conference Chair Prof. Dr. Khandaker Tabin Hasan (Head, Graduate Program, Computer Science, AIUB), Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam (Vice Chancellor, AIUB), and Special Guest Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Pro-Vice Chancellor, AIUB) addressed the participants. The event featured 8 keynote speeches from prominent figures in the computing field, including:

The conference sessions, held both virtually and in person, covered a wide range of topics including communication networks, cryptography, software engineering, and AI-driven healthcare. Notable discussions also revolved around the latest technology trends, blockchain,
and IoT applications. On the first day, parallel sessions explored emerging research in communication networks, software engineering, and cryptography, while the second day focused on machine vision, intelligent systems, and the future of AI in technology.
One of the highlights of the event was the diversity of research topics presented, with papers discussing AI applications in healthcare, advanced cryptographic techniques, and the integration of blockchain technology in various industries. The discussions fostered an environment of collaboration and idea exchange among participants, reinforcing the value of conferences like ICCA in driving innovation in the computing world.
The closing ceremony was held on the evening of October 18, 2024, where Ms. Nadia Anwar (Founder Member and Chairman, Board of Trustees, AIUB) delivered a speech expressing her appreciation for the participants, volunteers, and organizers. She emphasized the importance of research and innovation in solving real-world problems and the role of universities like AIUB in fostering academic excellence and industry collaboration. The nine conference tracks – Technology Trends, Communication, Computing, Smart Computing Systems, Intelligent Systems, Machine Vision, Cryptography, Security and Privacy, Software Engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction – showcased the breadth and depth of research presented at the event.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin (Vice Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh) also provided his remarks, commending the conference's success and highlighting the contributions made by the participants. Program Co-Chair Prof. Dr. Md. Asraf Ali and Program Chair Prof. Dr. Dip Nandi debriefed the two-day proceedings and offered their vote of thanks respectively. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of plaques of appreciation to the conference contributors and a collective commitment to advancing research in computing.
