2014 Bangladesh NetAcad Instructor Conference


Held on 22 May 2014 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the NetAcad Conference hosted by American International University – AIUB and it was a very successful event. Around Fifty five instructors from different public and private universities attended the event and participated in the day-long conference.
The annual Cisco Networking Academy Conference offered a valuable opportunity for professional development and peer networking in a one-stop forum designed to help the instructors make the NetAcad experience even more exciting and meaningful to their student communities.
The Bangladesh NetAcad Instructor Conference opened with a fitting tribute to celebrate its rich 17 years history. The conference was welcomed by Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, honorable Vice-chancellor of American International University–AIUB.
The first session speaker was Anuradha Sharma, Program Manager, Social Innovation Group, SAARC and India, who spoke on “Networking Academy Program and Curriculum Updates” and emphasized on the current and upcoming Cisco Academy courses.
The next session speaker was Markus Schwertel, Regional Manager of Social Innovation Group who covered the topic “Internet of everything’s Relevance to Education” and he showed a picture of the future Cisco technology.
During the technical session, Ananth B S, Cisco Systems Technical Manager, India and SAARC demonstrated how to create network attacks using Cisco Packet Tracer and Hridita Dewan, United Nation Volunteer spoke on “UNV for Cisco Networking Academy Program”.
Md. Manirul Islam, Director, Continuing Education Center, AIUB conducted the “NetSpace Workshop” and after that there was an Ideas exchange session which gave an opportunity to exchange ideas with Instructors and Cisco Networking Academy leaders.
The day was inspiring and informative alike, creating an atmosphere of in-person collaboration and innovation that will strengthen the Cisco Academy instructors’ community.
