The Department of Marketing, & Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB jointly organized a workshop titled “Workshop on Stress Management” on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Media Studio, Level 2, Annex-2, from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM. The workshop was conducted by wEvolve and arranged for the students of the core courses of the BBA program.
The workshop featured insightful and highly interactive sessions conducted by Ms. Rifat Sharmin Ferdous, Clinical Psychologist and Lead Psychologist, wEvolve and Mr. Md. Asfakur Rahman, Psychologist, wEvolve. The speakers elaborately discussed the concept of stress, different types of stress commonly faced by university students, the psychological and physical effects of long-term stress, and practical techniques to cope with stress in academic as well as personal life. Students actively participated throughout the session by sharing their experiences and engaging in discussions and question-and-answer segments, making the workshop lively and impactful.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge, Faculty of Business Administration, AIUB, who shared valuable insights on the importance of mental well-being for academic success and personal development. Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Marketing, THM, and International Business, was also present at the program along with Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Professor and Director (BBA Program) and other respected faculty members of the Department of Marketing.
The event was planned and organized by Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Marketing and THM. The session was hosted by Ms. Farzan Mitu, Lecturer, Department of Marketing, who facilitated the program smoothly and ensured effective interaction between the speakers and the participants with the support of Ms. Sharmin Sultana, Assistant Professor, Department of THM.
The objective of organizing this workshop was to create awareness among students regarding mental health, encourage healthy coping mechanisms, and support them in managing academic pressure more effectively. The initiative reflects AIUB’s commitment to student well-being and quality education, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of Quality Education.
The successful organization of the workshop once again demonstrates AIUB’s dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment and equipping students with essential life skills alongside academic excellence.
