The American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) continued its ongoing internationalization efforts through two collaborative meetings held on 25 and 26 November 2025, welcoming distinguished representatives from the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC), USA and the University of Windsor, Canada. Both visits focused on exploring strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing academic excellence, global connectivity, and mobility for AIUB students and faculty.
On 25 November 2025, AIUB hosted Dr. Arif Ahmed, Dean of the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean (in-Charge), Faculty of Business Administration; Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, AIUB; Prof. Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, Undergraduate Program (BBA), Faculty of Business Administration; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, Graduate Program, Faculty of Business Administration; and Ms. Nazia Farhana, Additional Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (AIUB-IQAC).
The discussion highlighted several promising collaboration opportunities, including joint degree programs, curriculum development initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, joint research projects, and progression pathways for AIUB graduates seeking master’s studies abroad. Both sides expressed strong interest in building a comprehensive and mutually beneficial academic partnership.
On the following day, 26 November 2025, AIUB welcomed Dr. Chris Busch, Associate Vice-President for Strategic Enrolment at the University of Windsor, and Ms. Neharika Kataria, Principal Advisor, Recruitment and Partnerships (South Asia), Office of Enrolment Management. Representing AIUB were Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor; Md. Manirul Islam, Director, ICE & IT (Network Operations) and Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science; and Ms. Nazia Farhana, Additional Director, AIUB-IQAC.
The meeting focused on a wide range of academic collaboration possibilities, including a Master’s student progression program, curriculum co-development, certification course franchise opportunities, as well as expanded joint research, faculty mobility, and student exchange initiatives. The discussions reflected AIUB’s commitment to fostering international partnerships that support academic innovation and global exposure for its learning community.
Together, these visits reaffirm AIUB’s strategic priority of deepening its global engagement and establishing high-impact collaborations with internationally reputed institutions to further strengthen the university’s academic ecosystem.
