The Bazaar Bonanza organized by Department of Management & HRM

Department of Management & HRM of American International University – Bangladesh has a positive reputation for its capacity to instill managerial and leadership skills in the students. Keeping up with this practice, the Department had arranged a daylong series of programs on December 06, 2016 to recognize and appreciate the essence of leadership amongst the students.

One such event amongst many others was the materializing of The Bazaar Bonanza. It was open to all students of the university irrespective of their departments. This program gave the students a chance to become an entrepreneur for a day and to make up their minds about their future options and opportunities. A total of 16 groups participated and they were provided with stalls to display their products. They decorated their stalls beautifully and arranged their products in a very professional and eye-catching manner. Bazaar Bonanza was set up in Rooms 521 & 522.

This event was inaugurated by the kind presence of Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva along with Prof. Dr. Nisar Ahmed; Director of MBA Program and Ms. Farheen Hassan; Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of Management & HRM. The esteemed guests visited each stall and had a detailed discussion about the respective product line up. There was a myriad of products on sale ranging from food, clothing, décor, stationery products, hair and makeup accessories etc. The guests especially tasted a few products from the food stalls and appreciated the efforts of the stall owners.

Due to the huge attention and popularity it garnered, the Bazaar’s time was extended till 3.30 pm although it was scheduled to close at 02.00 pm. Faculties from various departments and students visited the Bazaar and loved its vibrancy.

The program was organized and coordinated by, Ms. Hafsa Maryam, Ms. Samia Shabnaz  , Ms. Anisa Sultana; Assistant Professors, Mr. Afdalin Bin Haque Lecturer, Department of Management & HRM with the support from Office of Students Affairs and AIUB Business Club.
