On 4 December 2021, the Training and Development Unit of the Office of Human Resources, AIUB successfully organized a day-long training session for the administrative employees engaged in student services. The training focused on the following areas:

• Team Building, Professional Stress & Change Management
• Communication and Soft-Skill Development
• Stakeholder Service and Stakeholder Relationship
• Establish a working knowledge of AIUB and the impact of the degree.
• Differentiate AIUB and its programs

Mr. Sohel Nadeem Rahman MS (CLS, UC Berkeley) & MBA (Haas, UC Berkeley) was the trainer of the session. He is an internationally certified expert in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Psychometrics, Human Cognitive and Learning Systems, Psychographics, Business and Marketing Communications, Strategic Management, Human Centered Design (HCD), Systems Thinking and other practice areas.

A total number of 30 AIUB Officials took part in the training session. At the end of the session all participant of this training program were given certificates of recognition.

Training Session for Support Staff

On Thursday 6 January 2022, the Training and Development Unit of the Office of Human Resources, AIUB arranged another training session on the usage of fire extinguisher for the support staff. 10 Drivers and 3 Gardeners were given practical hands-on training to perform PASS (Pull-Aim-Squeeze-Sweep) method of putting out a fire. The training covered the following steps:

• Pull the safety pin by twisting and removing it from the handle.
• Aim the extinguisher at the base of the flames.
• Squeeze the handle to expel the extinguishing agent.
• Sweep the nozzle side to side at the base of the fire.

Using of a fire extinguisher at the right time keeping appropriate distance and precautions can be a very tough decision to take. During this training session, each trainee gained the knowledge which will ensure safety and security of themselves and others.
