The Department of Management of the Faculty of Business Administration at American International University-Bangladesh conducted a seminar entitled “The Secret to an Entrepreneur's Success” on November 6, 2024. The target audience comprised of students in the entrepreneurship development course and attendees of the Business Plan Exhibition Spring 2023-24. The main goal of the event was to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit among the youth in Bangladesh. The program aims to fulfil SDG objective 8, which seeks to foster sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, as well as ensure full and productive employment and decent work for all individuals. The session commenced at the Auditorium at 12:30 p.m. and continued for one hour thirty minutes. The session began with an introductory address by Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, Graduate Program, Faculty of Business Administration.
Hanium Maria Chowdhury, Founder of Tahoor was present as guest speaker. She also outlined guidelines for crafting effective business ideas and entrepreneurial initiatives. The topic was captivating and enlightening, centering on the personal path of a successful entrepreneur in Bangladesh. The resource speaker motivated the pupils to engage in business. She also elaborated on the inception of the firm and the role of entrepreneurs in enhancing the nation's economy. The discussion ended with an engaging question-and-answer round. The students actively engaged in the seminar, while the speakers expressed their sincere gratitude to the Department of Management for the invitation and hospitality.
At the end of the session Dr. Md. Aftab Anwar, Department Head of Management Department gave his vote of thanks by expressing his gratitude and presented a certificate of appreciation along with mementos to the distinguished guest. Mrs. Bohi Shajahan, Head of the Finance Department, was present at the seminar among academic members. Certificates and crests were awarded to the winners of the business plan display at the conclusion of the program. Mrs. Samia Shabnaz, Senior Assistant Professor Department of Management, coordinated the event.
