SEMINAR ON: ROLE OF FINANCE PROFESSIONALS IN DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS OF FINANCE DIVISION IN THE CORPORATE WORLD

On June 5, 2014, a seminar titled ‘Role of Finance Professionals in Different Departments of Finance Division in the Corporate World’ was organized by the Department of Accounting to give students an overview of the different departments in Multinational companies. The seminar was arranged by Mr. Niaz Mohammad, Faculty, Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration. The resource speaker was Sarker MD. Rezoan Hoque, Manager, Business Support and Planning, Finance Division, Robi Axiata Limited. The seminar provides the overall ideas regarding Treasury Operations, Business Control and Analysis, Budget Planning, Accounts and Reporting, Supply Chain Management and Compliance department. Mr. Sarker also shared practical experience towards students as he previously worked in IDLC Finance Limited and Standard Chartered Bank, the leading NBFI and MNC respectively, in a managerial role. Mr. Sarker’s lively and interactive presentation makes this event productive. Participation of students from different courses made the seminar more informative. The main objective of this seminar was to get familiar with the students who opt to work in multinational companies so that they can prepare themselves.



At the end of the seminar, Mr. Zakaria Masud, Head, Department of Accounting, expressed his Vote of thanks to the Guest Speaker and presented him with a Certificate of Appreciation along with a gift pack as a Token of Gratitude with the presence of other faculty members.
