Seminar on “Integrated Tertiary Educational Supply Chain Management (ITESCM)”
A seminar entitled “Integrated Tertiary Educational Supply Chain Management (ITESCM)” was held on 21st July 2010 in AIUB Auditorium (Campus 1). The program was organized by the Department of Operations Management, AIUB. Dr. AKM Matiur Rahman, honorable Director of BBA Program, delivered the welcome speech as the chief guest. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, Assistant Professor, Department of Operations Management was the resource speaker of the seminar.
The real-world application of the ITESM model is highly acclaimed and recommended through actual implementation by university administrators and prospective investors. Dr. Habib developed the ITESCM model during his large scale empirical study for his doctoral dissertation. Based on his research work, he focused on the supply chain management concept for the tertiary educational institutions, which represents one of the service industries.
The auditorium was full of MBA students and faculties. After the presentation, an open question and answer session took place. By this fruitful seminar, MBA students received theoretical understanding of supply chain management for the service industry, including the academia, application of research methodology, etc.
